Prosthetic Dentistry; It is an effective treatment science that deals with the diagnosis and treatment planning of material losses in natural teeth, missing teeth, and the restoration of the surrounding oral and maxillofacial tissues with artificial materials, the regulation of occlusion, the correction and maintenance of oral functions, aesthetics and patient health.
The Department of Prosthodontics, along with its administrative duties, carries out patient treatment services, conducts scientific research, and provides undergraduate, specialist and doctoral education under Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Health Sciences Institute.
Dentistry education in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry is applied for 5 years, both theoretically and practically. For this purpose, students who receive preclinical education (pre-clinical) for the first three years move on to clinical practice in the next two years. The Department of Prosthetic Dentistry has undertaken a mission that combines many disciplines such as crown bridge prostheses, removable partial dentures and full dentures, implantology, maxillofacial prostheses, with its experienced faculty and trained assistant staff. There are clinical, preclinical and phantom laboratories for students in our department.
