Referring to the opening of the first dental school in Türkiye on November 22, 1908 within the Faculty of Medicine, every year since 1996, 22 November has been celebrated as "Dentistry Day", and the week covering 21-27 November has been celebrated as "Oral and Dental Health Week". In this context, under the leadership of our Dean Prof. Dr. Bayram Deviren, with the participation of faculty members in the departments, administrative staff and students, a minute's silence was observed after a wreath was laid on the Atatürk Monument and the National Anthem was sung.
Our University Rector Prof. Dr. Semih Aktekin celebrated the dentistry day by hosting the faculty members of our faculty in his office. Information was exchanged on education and training with the newly appointed faculty members.
In Prof. Dr. Zeynep Korkmaz conference hall, our dean Prof. Dr. Bayram Deviren gave a speech on the meaning and importance of the day. From the Department of Orthodontics of our faculty, Dr. Kevser Kurt Demirsoy made a presentation titled 'Importance of Oral and Dental Health'.
We celebrate the "Dentistry Day" of all our esteemed colleagues and wish them success throughout their professional lives.
